Humility: When you are humble you don't act as if you are more important than other people. You are happy to serve others and think other people's needs are important. You don't expect others or yourself to be perfect. You don't critize yourself. You admit mistakes and learn from them. Sometimes mistakes are our best taechers. When you do great things, humility reminds you to be thankful instead of boastful. Acceptance is embracing life on its own terms. We are open to what is, rather than wishing for something different. We face the truth in all circumstances with honesty and courage. Acceptance helps us to bend without breaking in the winds of tests, to gather lessons and step forward with new wisdom and awareness. We affirm others with the qualities we do have and avoid judgement and criticism for what we don't have. Accepting myself allows me to give what I have to the world.
